AI vs ML vs DL
AI is technology that enables computers and machines to simulate human learning.
AI vs ML vs DL
- AI (Artificial Intelligence) → The parent (big concept).
- ML (Machine Learning) → The child (a part of AI).
- DL (Deep Learning) → The grandchild (a special type of ML).
🌐 Artificial Intelligence (AI)
AI is the science of making machines smart, so they can do tasks that normally need human intelligence.
-> Making machines act smart like humans.
Goal: To make machines think, decide, or act like humans.
👉 Siri, Alexa answering questions.
👉 Google Maps suggesting the best route.
👉 Chatbots replying to customers.
🤖 Machine Learning (ML)
ML is a subset of AI where machines learn from data instead of being programmed step by step.
-> Teaching machines with data so they can learn on their own.
Goal: To find patterns from data and improve automatically with experience.
👉 Netflix recommending movies based on what you watched before.
👉 Email apps detecting spam.
👉 Banks detecting fraud transactions.
🧠 Deep Learning (DL)
DL is a special kind of ML that uses neural networks with many layers (inspired by the human brain).
-> Advanced ML that learns deeply using brain-like networks.
Goal: To solve very complex problems like speech, image, and video recognition.
👉 Self-driving cars recognizing pedestrians and signals.
👉 Face recognition in smartphones.
👉 Voice assistants understanding natural speech.
👉 AI = The whole school (education system).
👉 ML = A classroom inside the school (teaching by examples).
👉 DL = A student who learns deeply using lots of books (data).
